Schlapp Down: Mercedes Schlapp & Matthew Foldi

President Donald Trump sat down for a remarkable 3 hour interview with Joe Rogan on  the widely popular show, The Joe Rogan Experience. Joe Rogan enthusiast Matthew Foldi joined Mercedes Schlapp for a special edition of Schlapp Down reacting to this viral interview.

The interview, in its 3-hour span, covered a broad range of topics including whale psychiatry.

“I think this clip is why Kamala Harris would not want to do Joe Rogan, but it speaks much more to her than it does to him, and I think that clip and obviously there are others that we’ll watch here, it shows both of these men in their very true and authentic selves, which is something Kamala Harris has never done,” said Foldi of a segment of conversation between Trump and Rogan on whales.

Trump’s appearance on the show and Harris’ refusal to appear without constraints on the show is yet another example of the two very different approaches to communicating with the American people. While Harris avoids the media when possible, Trump embraces opportunities to connect to the American people.

“I think that what this afforded him was three hours of uncut, unfiltered Donald Trump that I think you would say, “If more people could see this, he would be up by ten points right now”,” Foldi observed.
