ACUF & CPAC Release Scores of New Jersey Politicians Ahead of 2021 General Election


ALEXANDRIA, VA (October 28, 2021)—New Jersey continued to advance liberal priorities at the expense of economic growth, according to recently released voting record analysis from CPAC. The report shows New Jersey lacks moderate voices in the Democrat party, as lawmakers from the party voted with the conservative position on legislation an average of 7% of the time.

Four members of New Jersey’s legislature earned CPAC’s Award for Conservative Excellence by earning scores of over 90%: Sen. Michael Doherty (100%), Rep. Jay Webber (93%), Rep. John Catalano (92%), and Rep. Gregory McGuckin (90%).

Policies rated by ACUF include tax increases (A 10 and AB 4721), increases in debt-fueled government spending (AB 4175 and AB 3971), efforts to weaken election integrity (AB 4320, AB 4276 and AB 4475), and “social justice” curriculum mandates (AB 4545).
